Working from home requires heightened attention to compliance with privacy protection and data security laws. The basis for such compliance, inter alia, is the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority's guidelines, "Emphases for managers and employees when implementing a remote work policy vis-à-vis the organizational network." The transition to remote work from home on a significant scale obligates organizations to take meticulous security precautions with regard to their computer and information systems.

On March 29, 2023, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed into law Senate File 262, the Iowa Act Relating to Consumer Data Protection (ICDPA). Taking effect nearly two years from now on January 2025, the ICDPA makes Iowa the sixth state to enact a comprehensive data privacy law. In many ways, the new law parallels the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA) and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), which are generally considered more business-friendly and less restrictive than the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)). .

The Palestinian Authority (PA) received much attention over the weekend for having condemned Hamas. However, it is important to recognize that the Fatah statement was not a condemnation or an attempt to distance itself from the atrocities of October 7- nor from Hamas terror in general. Instead, the message was merely an issue of internal politics, and was a response to a Hamas statement that attacked Mahmoud Abbas.
