[Discussion] How will employment look like in the future?

As businesses focus on efficiency and profitability, will technology kill jobs? Automation is rapidly happening everywhere. Some predict that robots will replace humans in the workplace. Anything can happen in the future. What can we do about this?

Automation will slowly dominate the workplace. From what we've seen so far, it's pretty obvious that machines will be used more in assembly lines and construction work.

--and factories as well. Yes. I agree with you there, jeremyclark99. What will be the effect of these techonologies to those people who might loose their jobs because of this? This will be a tough problem for the government in the future. I have read an article similar to this in one of the topics here in quantumrun - https://www.quantumrun.com/forum/en/forum/automation-workplace

As long as people are not starving because robots took over their jobs, I'm fine with all of this. It's about time for people to start enjoy their lives instead of spending them on worrying if they'll be able to pay all bills every month. It would be really cool if something could be done so robots are working instead of us.

Ditto man. As long as we get to have jobs I'm fine with automation. It's just a matter of looking for opportunities where we can use our skills best.

I'm sure the government will find a way to make this a win-win situation for both their people and the business. Right?
