Is Google killing password system?

Google's big project - Project Abacus which was planned for 2016 was mainly focused on killing password system. They worked a lot to promote google authentication system using smartphones to protect the access of anything on web.

I don't think it went anywhere LOL

We, however, do have way more options and password alternatives for using cards, unlocking devices etc than we used to have back in 2016.

Logging in with two-factor authentication is really idea becuase it requires you sets of password to unlock e-mails for example. Not sure for the face or fingerprint recognition though because you can unlock the password by forcing a person physically.

It simply comes the idea that while humans are not very good at remembering passwords instead of asking for a specific password, and that's why Abacus analyzes how you type, how you speak, and combined with other signals from the sensors in your phone, calculates the probability that you are who you say you are.
