Increasing number of religious people

This was a surprise for me. If anything, I thought it was on a decline because a lot of people I know who are raised Catholics aren't raising their children to be. Also very surprised to see Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world.

Interesting. For me a lot of people just associate themselves with a certain type of religion, so to say that they practice or not is not really a factor. I wonder why Islam is mentioned as the fastest growing religion.. no disrespect of course just thinking out loud.

The main reasons for Islam’s growth ultimately involve simple demographics. To begin with, Muslims have more children than members of the seven other major religious groups. They really follow the path for early marriage to get better and depressed free life. Also, they have high fertility rates, will accelerate Muslim population growth.

^ Yes that could definitely be a possibility. Another reason for me is the fact that more and more people have accepted technology in the past decades. It is possible that the data is also reflective of the people who have answered the surveys due to being more accepting of technology.
