The internet is eating our brains

A study showed that 91% of us need the internet and digital technology to remember stuff.  The ubiquity of this technology has us discarding our power to commit things to memory. Not that that's a bad thing necessarily. It just means we can focus our brains on remembering the really important stuff.

I wouldn't say it's internet's fault but ours. Internet is one of the best things that happened to humankind and it's our own fault we're not using it responsibly. I find these numbers, these 91% ,extremely sad. Our brains are capable of holding quite a lot of information and are meant to be used.

That's the use of it and tha'ts also the reason why they invented such technologies, basically to help us in any way.  I don't see anything wrong with it. *wink*

If anything, maybe it frees our brain to do other things since we don't have to keep track of the minutia of everyday details.

If we totally depend on it then yes I may agree. But at the end of the day it is just a tool like most things.
