The millenials' defection from religion

I like how this article explained that this "defection" isn't another one of the "faults" attributed to millenials. This is something that has slowly started with the previous generation. I, for one, grew up with Catholic parents. They were mostly Catholic on paper and rarely ever went to church. So as an adult, I think the idea that there's a God who cares somewhere is nice but in no way would I live my life according to some doctrine.

The younger crowd are more open to trying new stuff, so it could be possible that they are more willing to defect from what they were raised into. The possiblity of them leaving their original religion is very possible.
