Social Media in a view of Teen Age People

Link: https://medium.com/backchannel/a-teenagers-view-on-social-media-1df945c0...

The growing fast with the age of technology and when it comes about tech, we must include the web giants like social media platforms, video sharing, chatting and messeging platforms. Teen agers boy and girls are quite friendly with social sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and so on. Its is quite obvious that they are using these social sites very frequently and it's very weird if anyone not familier with these.

Day by day these young kids are more likely to be addicted in these social sites.

Agree. However, as for my opinion I'd like to use social media as just a platfrom for news and information. Millenials nowadays.

Teens are masters at keeping themselves occupied in the hours after school until way past bedtime. When they’re not doing their homework, they’re online and on their phones, texting, sharing, trolling, scrolling, you name it. Simply, it breeds an indirect communication which actually doesn't make a good relationship although.

That is why you need to always monitor kids in using mobile phones or any gadgets that uses internet. White lies, folks. Lurke on their account or search the web history of the laptop if necessary!

Right you are! If mama or dad check or sis their phones just think about how their reaction goes on. You have seen memes like.... What's your last wish before die? Then he replies, please let me clear out all my history on the website!

The younger generation and technology are pretty much inseparable. I don't really believe that social media is damaging per se, kids today have created a culture all their own and I find it kinda cool to be honest. If we could just think of ways to help teenagers ease back into dealing with the other sectors of society then I'm good *shrugs*.

I don't think social media is a bad thing at all. Addictions should be addressed, but then again, there's a question - what is social media addiction, how to recognize it and when to react. I sure don't think that communicating via photos on Instagram or FB messenger could be called addiction.

I grew up without internet. When I think about it, I'm not sure if having the internet would change much. Actually, it would. Parents would have significantly lower phone bills LOL I would probably be more informed, aware of the real life problems and my empathy would probably develop sooner. I would also have a chance to learn communicating with different kind of people easier. Just as dealing with all kind of situations. All in all, I don't think social media would change my life for the worse. It's a great way for teenagers to meet the real world in safe environment.

I grew up without the internet too, and I'd have to say that social media as a whole is pretty practical if used right. Heck it's a great way to get in touch with friends from way back haha. But seriously, It is all about moderation. Instead of demonizing social media we should just educate kids to use it in spurts.
