Southeast Asia as the next ISIS base

As someone who lives in Asia, articles like these are scary. I've seen the ASG problem on the news for as long as I can remember and I don't think my country is equipped or ready to handle a big-scale terrorist attack.

I guess they think it's easier to penetrate SE Asia as has numerous islands scattered across the area.

Actually, It already did. It happened in the Philippines specifically in Marawi City in Mindanao just last year (2017). The president of the Philippines even implimented a maritial law. As per the news I read, it was really the ISIS. They invaded and polluted the minds of the people in mindanao to join them. I mean let's be honest, Philippines is one of the third world countries, where do you think these Filipino rebelious peple who joined the ISIS got their high end guns and equipments?

Only the most hardcore muslims in Indonesia or Malaysia fell for ISIS ideology, most of us don’t even want to be associated to them and most of us don’t want any drastic changes of our way of life.
