Surgery has become more high tech--and more than a little scary

I think it's remarkable that doctors can now do a surgical procedure via precise robots and an internet connection.  This could mean that some day, people will have access to the operations they need no matter where they are in the world. But what happens when you get *lag* in the middle of a procedure?  Or if you get hacked!  Let's think about this for a minute.

Using robotic surgery, surgeons can perform delicate and complex procedures that may have been difficult or impossible with other methods. Since these procedures can now be performed through very small incisions, our patients experience a number of benefits compared to open surgery.
