Virtual Currency: Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist

I wonder how are they going to monitor the use of these currencies. I mean, how are they going to know? I think we also need to require businesses (especially online) to comply with this new regulation to ensure that nobody's supporting any terrorist groups.

Positive side is that terrorists using these currencies can easily be traced by professionals unlike the use of actual money.

Money laundering must take into account the global nature of the problem and therefore include not only effective criminal laws prohibiting money laundering and persuasive penalties for those convicted but also efficient and effective confiscation or forfeiture mechanisms as well as effective laws to permit international cooperation around information sharing, extradition, and mutual legal assistance.

With the technology we have right now, I will not be surprised if money launderers will invade virtual currency in the near future. Terrorist are too smart for this. They have all the knowledge, skills and equipements. That is why law enforcers should be more strict in monitoring the transcactions involving these kinds of currencies in the market.

I'm sure that already happened . Exchanges didn't start looking for client's details just out of curiosity.

We can never tell, @Grox19. You never know how smart (terrorist and people supporting them) they are. People in the government should never be complacent about this.
