GS Caltex is a South Korean oil refiner. It changed its name on January 27, 2006, from LG-Caltex Oil Corporation to GS Caltex Corporation. The company is jointly owned by GS Group and Chevron. GS Caltex was established as the first private oil company in Korea on May 1967. GS Caltex offers ver one-third of the oil needs of Korea and exports over 50% of its products.
