    A 2005, Jami'ar Western Cosmochemist Audrey Bouvier, tare da taimakon Maud Boyet na Jami'ar Blaise Pascal, ya gano kasancewar Neodymium-142 (142Nd; isotope na sinadarai neodymium). An samo wannan ba kawai a cikin abubuwa na ƙasa ba, amma a cikin sauran kayan duniya, ta hanyar amfani da ionization mass spectrometry. 

    Duo ya yi wannan binciken ta hanyar nazari chondrites, wani meteorite mai ma'adinai wanda ake kira "tubalan ginin duniya" a tsakanin al'ummar kimiyya. Cikakken bincike na waɗannan gine-ginen dutse ya nuna cewa alamun 142Nd sun bayyana a cikin wadannan meteorites. Sabanin yadda aka yi imani da cewa isotope ya samo asali ne a duniya, kamar yadda duniyar da kanta ta bunkasa a farkon matakanta. Ƙarin binciken da aka gudanar ya taimaka wajen ba da haske a kan gaskiyar cewa neodymium ya bayyana a cikin sifofi na waje kuma, ko da yake a cikin nau'i na isotope daban-daban. Don haka, suka zana karshe cewa asalin duniya yana iya kasancewa da alaƙa da na sauran taurari fiye da yadda masana kimiyya suka yi tunani. Ana gudanar da ƙarin bincike don tabbatar da ƙarin ingancin waɗannan da'awar.
